Phone repair Wolverhampton : Previously, the only way to keep the warranty or insurance was to send a broken iPhone back to Apple and pay a hefty price for it after trying the tried-and-true phone-in-a-bag-of-overnight-rice approach and it still wasn’t working. There is a fresh fix right now.
The tech giant will make Apple spare parts and tools available for purchase by phone owners in the UK and seven other European nations.
Customers are encouraged to “first study the repair handbook,” then rent or purchase the “professional-grade tools” needed for the process from its “self-service repair store,” according to a four-step tutorial on the company’s website.
The programme, which debuted in the US earlier this year, will include repair guides, equipment, and spare parts for the iPhone 12 and 13 series as well as more current Mac laptops that come equipped with Apple’s own processors.
Customers can also send replaced components back to the company for refurbishment and recycling, with credit off their parts purchase granted in many circumstances, and Apple claims the parts are the same ones – and at the same price – as those already available to its network of authorised repair providers.
“We believe the best technology for our customers and the planet is technology that lasts, which is why we design our devices to be robust and infrequently need maintenance or repair,” said Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operations officer.
However, we want consumers to have a variety of options for secure, safe, and dependable repairs when a repair is necessary. As well as the UK, the scheme is being expanded to Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Sweden and Spain.
